Latest Update

Secure Content Delivery, Smarter Access, and More Reliable Stories

October 6, 2026

September’s updates introduce a more secure way to deliver media, stronger enterprise access controls, and more reliable experiences across Stories, Shorts, and widgets.

Protect Media With StorifyMe Secure CDN

Accounts enabled for StorifyMe Secure CDN can now deliver Stories and assets from versioned, write-protected storage.

Each upload stays connected to a specific version, including resized images, posters, and optimized video variants. This helps prevent later uploads or media-processing changes from replacing assets already used in published Stories.

Why this matters:
  • Stronger media integrity for sensitive or high-value content
  • More control over which asset version appears in published Stories
  • Better protection against unintended media changes
  • More reliable delivery from upload to publishing

Keep Enterprise Access Up to Date With Directory Sync

Teams can now connect their company directory to StorifyMe with Directory Sync. Once configured, StorifyMe can add and update account members, assign the right Admin, Editor, Analyst, or User role based on directory groups, and remove access when someone becomes inactive or leaves the directory. This helps IT teams manage StorifyMe access through their existing identity setup instead of updating each account manually.

Why this matters:
  • Easier access management for enterprise teams
  • Roles stay aligned with directory groups
  • Access is removed when users become inactive
  • Less manual account maintenance for IT teams

Restrict API Access by IP Address

Administrators can now restrict API and API-key access to approved IP addresses or IP ranges. Requests from outside the configured network are blocked, giving organizations with stricter security policies more control over where integrations can connect from.

Why this matters:
  • Stronger control over API access
  • Better support for enterprise security policies
  • Reduced risk from unauthorized network locations
  • More confidence when connecting external systems

Better Mobile Story Navigation and Accessibility

The latest iOS and Android SDK beta updates make Stories and Shorts easier to navigate across phones and tablets. Supported mobile web views now include dedicated previous and next controls. Improved focus handling also helps screen-reader users follow content as Stories change or a Short replays. Teams can also enable accessibility behavior for supported mobile SDK experiences.

Why this matters:
  • Better navigation across mobile and tablet experiences
  • More accessible Story and Short viewing
  • Improved support for screen-reader users
  • A smoother experience for more viewers

Curate Exactly What a Widget Displays

Teams can now choose exactly which published Stories appear in a web widget and define the order they should appear in. This explicit Story selection takes priority over broader tag or manual-list rules, while publishing and regional visibility limits still apply. iOS and Android SDK beta updates also let app teams choose a hand-picked set of Stories for mobile widgets.

Why this matters:
  • More control over widget content
  • Easier setup for campaign pages and product collections
  • Better support for deliberate Story sequences
  • Consistent curation across web and mobile widgets

Keep Story Posters Consistent With Your Brand

Uploaded custom posters now stay in place when StorifyMe generates preview images. Story thumbnails also show the appropriate poster, so the cover selected by your team remains visible in the editor and in published experiences.

Why this matters:
  • Approved creative stays consistent
  • Lower risk of generated previews replacing selected posters
  • More reliable Story thumbnails across the platform
  • Better brand consistency wherever Stories appear

Improvements🌟

  • Video widgets now try optimized CDN sources and backup URLs before falling back to full-size files, helping playback recover when a source is unavailable.
  • Mobile SDK widgets now recover more gracefully when network connections fail.
  • Widget scripts now use versioned CDN delivery with cache refreshes, helping browsers pick up script updates more reliably.
  • Pre-rendered Widget V3 Stories now retain campaign tracking settings, helping teams attribute visits and engagement more accurately.
  • Dynamic Story data is returned more consistently through the API and JavaScript widgets.
  • Widget V3 can now use a configured alternate URL when one is available, giving embedded Stories another route to load.
Fixes 🔧
  • Fixed an issue that could make Widget V3 videos play more than once.
  • Fixed Shorts modal behavior so closing it restores the page’s previous scroll position.
  • Fixed editing for locked text elements so authorized users can open text for changes with a double-click.
  • Fixed text spacing near the bottom of Story slides so content displays as intended.
  • Updated published Story content when publication settings change, so pre-rendered experiences do not keep stale settings or links.

These updates make StorifyMe more secure for enterprise teams, more reliable across widgets and mobile experiences, and easier to control when publishing Stories and Shorts at scale.
